Authorities Hunt For Suspect In Fatal Westlake Shooting

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Authorities have released a photo of a man suspected of fatally shooting a 21-year-old in the Westlake area.

The suspect, identified by police as Santos Navor-Flores, is accused of fatally shooting Manuel Campos Saturday in the 1600 block of West 5th Street.

LAPD Sgt. Melvin Gamble told City News Service that Campos and some friends were "partying and drinking in front of an apartment building" when shots were fired.

"A guy from inside the apartment came out, and there was some type of dispute," he said. "He went back in, got a gun came out and fired two to four rounds, hitting the victim in the head."

Friends of Campos put him in a car in an attempt to get him to a hospital, but paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, according to Gamble.

Police described Navor-Flores as 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He has dark hair and brown eyes.
