$25K Reward Offered For Information In Murder Of 'Cali Swag District' Rapper

INGLEWOOD (CBS) — Investigators are posting a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the gunman who killed a local rapper known as M-Bone.

Inglewood police are passing out fliers in hopes that witnesses will come forward with more information about the death of Cali Swag District's choreographer and official dancer, Monte Ray Talbert.

The 22-year-old was shot and killed last May while sitting in a car outside of a liquor store on La Brea Avenue.

Investigators say the gunman, who fired several shots, may have been jealous of Talbert's success.

Talbert had a major role in Cali Swag District's hit, Teach Me How To Dougie, which set off a national dance craze.

The song has been downloaded more than two million times and the group's YouTube videos have been viewed more than 29 million times.
