Robber Terrorizing Fast-Food Restaurants In Northeast LA

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying a robbery suspect who has hit several fast food restaurants in the Highland Park, Lincoln Heights and Cypress Park areas.

Police say the armed robberies occurred between Dec. 9 and Jan. 7. The robber threatens employees with a handgun and demands money from the cash register, escaping with the money on foot.

The suspect is described as a 24- to 27-year-old male Hispanic, about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 135 pounds. He has dark hair and eyes and wears dark hoodie sweaters with dark, baggy pants.

Anyone with information about the crimes can call LAPD Northeast Area robbery detectives at (323) 344-5751. Anonymous tips can be made by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or texting a message starting with "LAPD" to 274637.
