Betty White Celebrates 90th Birthday

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — One of the most beloved stars in American TV has turned 90 years old today.

"Golden Girl" Betty White celebrated her birthday with gentle jokes and ribbing from the entertainment community.

The veteran actress was feted with a TV special called "A Tribute to America's Golden Girl," featuring stars like Amy Poehler, Joel McHale and "Chuck" star Zachary Levi, who proposed to White, saying he "wanted to bear her children."

The special also featured a segment from President Obama, asking White to prove she is really 90 years old by providing a long-form birth certificate.

Madame Tussauds Hollywood announced Tuesday that White will be honored with a new wax figure, in celebration of her birthday.

White has a new reality show and co-stars in her own sitcom called "Hot In Cleveland" which last week won a People's Choice Award for "Favorite Cable TV Comedy."
