LOS ANGELES (KNX 1070) — The so-called “Gray Hooded Bandit” has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for a series of liquor and convenience store robberies.
Jose Cuellar was arrested last February and pleaded no contest to eight felony counts of second-degree robbery, KNX 1070’s Brian Ping reports.
Nineteen other felony counts against Cuellar were dropped in exchange for his plea.
The 21-year-old’s targets included the Hollywood, Olympic and Wilshire areas of Los Angeles, as well as
Glendale, Burbank, and other locations in the San Fernando Valley.
According to officials, Cuellar did have a prior history. Back in 2008, he was convicted of carjacking.
