Heather Locklear Hospitalized After Reportedly Mixing Prescription Drugs, Alcohol

WESTLAKE VILLAGE (CBS) — Actress Heather Locklear is recovering at a Thousand Oaks hospital Friday after being admitted for unknown reasons.

Locklear was taken to Los Robles Medical Center in serious condition Thursday afternoon after paramedics responded to a 911 call from Locklear's sister at the actress' Westlake Village home.

TMZ and Radar Online report that the actress was taken to the hospital after possibly mixing prescription drugs and alcohol.

Due to Hippa laws, officials have not released what prompted the "Melrose Place" star to be hospitalized.

"She is in good condition and is medically stable. She is resting comfortably. She is in our ICU where she is getting one-on-one care," Los Robles spokeswoman Kris Carraway-Bowman said Friday.

Locklear, 50, is not taking visitors and is being clinically evaluated throughout the day, according to Carraway-Bowman.

Her time and date of discharge is unknown.

Locklear has been hospitalized several times in recent years.

In 2009, she pleaded no contest to reckless driving after she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription medication.

Locklear called of her engagement to longtime boyfriend actor Jack Wagner in November 2011.
