GARDENA (CBS) — A two-alarm fire caused roughly $600,000 in damage to a mortuary Thursday night.

The fire started just after 7:30 p.m. at the McMillan & McCormick mortuary at Vermont and 163rd Street on the border of Gardena and Los Angeles.

The only employee inside at the time was able to get out without being injured.

Investigators believe the fire may have been intentionally set.

Firefighters say there were no bodies in the building at the time of the fire.
