Pacific Too Much For Cal State Northridge

NORTHRIDGE (AP) — Travis Fulton scored 23 points and Ross Rivera added 21 off the bench, helping hot-shooting Pacific snap a seven-game losing streak with a 66-52 win Thursday night over Cal State-Northridge.

Fulton was 7 of 11 from the field, including two 3-pointers. Rivera was 7 of 9 and added eight rebounds for the Tigers (5-10, 1-3 Big West), who shot 56 percent (27 of 48) from the field. Lorenzo McCloud had 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting.

Stephan Hicks led the Matadors (4-10, 1-3) with 18 points and 10 rebounds. No other Northridge player scored more than eight.

The game was close early, but Rivera hit a jumper to cap a 9-0 run that gave the Tigers a 17-10 lead. Aqeel Quinn pulled the Matadors within five, 32-27, with a layup 1:21 before halftime, but Northridge could get no closer than eight in the second half.

Pacific leads the all-time series, 20-6.
