FULLERTON (CBS) — Two homeless men stabbed each other in a fight in the parking lot of the Fullerton Armory Wednesday evening and one was seriously injured, police said.
Police were called to the parking lot of the armory at 400 S. Brookhurst St. about 5 p.m., said Sgt. Andrew Goodrich of the Fullerton Police Department.
The seriously injured man — identified as Daniel Gomez — was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center. He reportedly had a gash to one of his biceps. The other man — identified as Alexander Torres — received lesser injuries.
Goodrich said he did not know the motive for the argument.
The armory is regularly used as a shelter for the homeless during the winter.
Jeff Nguyen, reporting for CBS2 and KCAL9, said officials do not believe this stabbing incident is connected to the three recent fatal stabbings of homeless men in Orange County.
