Despite 27 Turnovers, Lakers Beat Grizzlies

(CBS) -- Kobe Bryant scored 26 points and had nine assists, and the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Memphis Grizzlies 90-82 on Sunday night at the Staples Center.

Bryant's latest scoring outburst has come, despite taking pain-killing injections before every game.

It's the fourth consecutive game where Bryant has scored at least 26 points.

The Grizzlies looked lost without star forward Zach Randolph, who is expected to miss up to two months with a tear in his MCL, they were led by Rudy Gay with 19 points.

Los Angeles won their sixth straight game at home, despite 27 turnovers.

"We were kind of lucky we won, but our halfcourt defense was really good." Lakers coach Mike Brown said.

The Lakers got things going early, putting up 32 points in the first quarter, thanks to another solid start by Matt Barnes.

Barnes scored 15 points and five Lakers scored in double figures.

Los Angeles will host the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night.
