PASADENA (CBS) — Pasadena police arrested at least ten people overnight Sunday before the Tournament of Roses Parade got underway.
Despite the arrests, police say things went smoothly overall along the parade route.
Hundreds of thousands of spectators spent a chilly Sunday night on the pavement along Colorado Boulevard, waiting for the parade to start.
The crowds warmed up as Monday’s temperatures rose beyond the 80 degree mark.
Most parade goers seemed to think fighting crowds of around 70,000 people, braving the cold, and waiting in long lines to use the port-a-potty was well worth it.
“It was really uncomfortable but totally awesome,” said one happy parade fan. “It was fantastic.”
