Police Need Public's Help To Find Missing 81-Year-Old Sun Valley Woman

SUN VALLEY (CBS) — An 81-year-old Sun Valley woman is missing and police are asking the public to help locate her.

Festa Nwachukwu left her family's home in the 8600 block of Sunland Boulevard around 7 p.m. Thursday and has not been heard from since, said Officer Rosario Herrera of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Nwachukwu had gone out for a long walk and did not return, Herrera said.

The missing woman is in good health, but her continued absence is of concern to her family.

Nwachukwu is Nigerian, 5 feet-2 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. She has black hair and was last seen at Foothill Boulevard and Osborne Street wearing a blue dress and pushing a shopping cart.

Police urged anyone with information regarding Nwachukwu's whereabouts to contact Foothill Police Station at (818) 756-8861 or 1-877-LAPD-24-7.
