Police: Suspects Kicked Female Clerk, 57, Stole Cash, Beer In Riverside Robbery

RIVERSIDE (CBS) — Police on Thursday sought the public's help in finding two men suspected of robbing a convenience store in Riverside.

Police received a report of an armed robbery at approximately 2:30 a.m. on November 20 at a Circle K store located at 3223 Interchange in Riverside.

The first suspect apparently had the store clerk unlock the door to let him into the store. After walking around the store for a short period of time, the suspect then walked back to the door and unlocked it.

A second suspect wearing a mask and armed with a handgun then entered the store.

The 57-year-old female clerk was ordered to lay on the ground after the first suspect kicked her at least once.

The suspects took the clerk's personal property, cash from the store register and beer and then fled the scene.

The suspects were not seen getting into a vehicle when they left, police said.

Anyone with information that may help identify these suspects should contact Detective Dave Smith at (951) 353-7103 or Detective Greg Rowe at (951) 353-7136.
