Police: Man Arrested For Carrying 23 Pounds Of Marijuana On Bicycle

PASADENA (CBS) — A man was arrested for carrying 23 pounds of marijuana in a water cooler Thursday in South Pasadena, police said.

Pasadena police stopped the bicyclist in the 300 block of Monterey Road near Pasadena Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. for code violations, including riding without a headlamp and rear reflector.

A search turned up an estimated $23,000 worth of marijuana hidden inside the rider’s water cooler, police said.

Marco Solis, 53, of San Gabriel, was arrested on suspicion of possessing and transporting marijuana for sale.
