Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (December 27)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Temperatures will drop ever so slightly Tuesday, but things won't be too bad.

In fact, with the cooler day, it will be right around average for this time of year. But, this is as cool as it gets.

A ridge of high pressure bumps in to keep us just a bit warmer for the rest of the week.

There will be minor waves of energy pushing into Northern California, which will drop temperatures a degree or two on Friday.

For the most part, from now until the end of the year, it's going to be great.

Look for some of the warmest weather early next week as a ridge of high pressure settles into the west coast.

There's no rain in sight for the next eight to 10 days.

Beaches - mid 60s
Basin - upper 60s
Valleys - upper 60s to low 70s
Deserts - mid 60s
Mountains - mid to upper 50s
