Coroner Releases Heavy D's Cause Of Death
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Coroner's officials have released the cause of death for rapper Heavy D.
According to an autopsy report, Dwight Errington Myers died from a pulmonary embolism caused by deep leg vein thrombosis.
The autopsy also revealed that Heavy D has cardiovascular disease, the Los Angeles County Coroner said. His cause of death was classified as "natural."
Myers died on Nov. 9 at the age of 44.
He was the lead member of the group Heavy D & the Boyz which rose to fame for the theme song for "In Living Color" and "MADtv."
