Several Holiday Closures Expected Monday

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Government offices, courts, schools, libraries, banks and post offices will be closed Monday in observance of the Christmas holiday.

Also, there will be no trash collection by city crews, according to the Los Angeles Department of Public Works, Bureau of Sanitation.

Residents, whose trash is normally collected on Monday, will have it picked up the following day.

Metro buses, trains and subways will operate on a Sunday schedule on Monday.

Only two Metrolink train lines will be in operation on the 26th: the Antelope Valley and San Bernardino lines. Both are expected to run on a Sunday schedule. Click here for train schedules or call 800) 371-LINK.

The following Foothill Transit lines will operate on a weekend schedule on Monday: 178, 185, 187, 195, 197, 269, 272, 274, 280, 281, 282, 284, 285, 286, 289, 291, 292, 480, 482, 486, 488, 492 and the Silver Streak.
