MURRIETA (CBS) — A man is dead tonight after reportedly being shot in the head by an off-duty Riverside County Sheriff’s deputy at Spelly’s Bar, located on the 40000 block of Murrieta Hot Springs Road in Murrieta.

A witness who was a DJ at the bar said a fight broke out just after the music started. Someone pulled a gun and four shots were fired.

The witness reported patrons ran screaming from the bar.

The deputy was taken into custody after allegedly shooting the victim directly in the forehead. It was unclear if the deputy was under arrest.

as I made the comment yet on the shooting in Riverside shooting as these are on the rise and just because one carries a badge is not the license to kill or shot? hold them ACCOUNTABLE for such ACTIONS it’s the LAW
