Authorities Say 19-Year-Old Sexual Assault Suspect Likely Has More Victims

SANTA CLARITA (CBS) — A 19-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting at least 14 girls is facing 29 felony charges.

The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s station has been flooded with calls since Michael Downs was arrested on Dec. 15.

Authorities launched an investigation earlier this month after one of Downs’ alleged victims came forward.

Deputies say victims have come forward every day since Downs was arrested. They believe there are more victims out there and are asking for them contact authorities.

Downs met his alleged victims through social media sites, where he lied about his age and said he knew the girls’ friends, authorities said.

“Where they were committed was various places throughout the Santa Clarita Valley inside of homes, near the mall, near the social gathering where they met, just countless places,” Lt. Carlos Marquez told CBS2.

Downs has no prior criminal record and attends a continuation high school.

This shouldn’t surprise anyone. Typical teenager with a high sex drive. The parents of the 12 year old girl who met this guy should go to jail too. Goes to show the excellent parental supervision these girls have. But of course the parents will probably try to sue Facebook, Twitter etc because its Facebook and Twitter that caused all of this. All of you parents with girls that are under 18 need to understand the their vaginas are a hot commodity. Boys and men from all ages crave young vagina. This might not sound “right” but this is the sick world we live in people.

I’m sorry, usually I try not to judge when it comes to rape, but when it’s teenagers, I can’t help but think these “allegations” are from girls who were pressured by their parents into making them because their daughter couldn’t POSSIBLY have a sex drive at that age.

You bozos that have all these ‘words of wisdom’ about the girls’ intent and how the parents pressured them into filing charges and didn’t do their parental job and the poor guy who just couldn’t keep it zipped…I mean really? .You are taking this guy’s side? Then you sicken me. What the he** part of breaking the law do you NOT understand? Got news for you dorks, even children of VERY involved, competent, supportive, and loving parents had girls here who were victimized. And I’m a parent of one of them. So THINK before you post (if that’s at all possible) anI know that I will sleep well tonight knowing that this perv will make many new ‘girlfriends’ in jail. It’s payback time.
