Rockies Sign Former Dodger Casey Blake

(CBS) -- The Colorado Rockies have signed former Dodgers third baseman Casey Blake to a non-guaranteed one-year, $2 million deal.

The 38-year-old Blake must pass a physical. Blake played in just 63 games for the Dodgers last season, in his 3 1/2 seasons with LA, Blake hit 49 homers, including his 2009 season where he slugged 18 homers and hit .280.

He is expected to be the regular starter for the Rockies, but could be supplanted by mega prospect, Nolan Arenado at some point this season.
