Suspect Injured In Deputy-Involved Shooting In La Puente
LA PUENTE (CBS) — Sheriff's officials are investigating a deputy-involved shooting Friday morning that left a suspect injured.
Sheriff's officials say deputies conducted a traffic stop around 3:30 a.m. near Seventh Avenue and Valley Boulevard. morning. When the driver finally pulled over, his passenger ran from the car, starting a foot chase.
During the chase, a deputies saw the suspect holding a gun and fired in self defense.
It was later determined that the handgun was a replica.
The suspect was hospitalized in stable condition. His name was not released.
The driver was arrested on a warrant.
No deputies were injured.
