Robber Kills Arcadia Man As His Wife, Children Wait In Other Room

ARCADIA (CBS) — Authorities are searching for a robber who shot and killed an Arcadia man as his wife and young children waited in another room of their home.

The family of five had just returned to their house in the 11000 block of East Kristi Court at 8 p.m. Monday when they were approached by the suspect, who demanded money.

The victim and his wife gave the man all the cash they had, but he forced them inside their home.

The mother took her three children – ages 3, 5 and 6 – into another room, where they listened to an altercation between the robber and her husband.

After she heard three gunshots, the woman ran out to find her husband dead.

The suspect is described as male Hispanic, light complexion, 5'7", 150 lbs., thin build, black hair, brown eyes, wearing dark clothing, a black hoodie sweatshirt and a bandaid under his eye.

Anyone with information about the crime was asked to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
