LAKE VIEW TERRACE (CBS) — Police believe gang members drove up and shot a 17-year-old boy dead while he was tagging a freeway overpass early Sunday.

Alfonso Covarrubias, of North Hollywood, was found shot to death under the Foothill (210) Freeway at about 2:40 a.m., LAPD Officer Bruce Borihahn said.

Authorities suspect Covarrubias was a gang member and that he was engaging in graffiti when rival gang members waged the attack.

This is the kind of stories we like to hear. One gang member taking out another. So many gang members tag and get away with it. Not too often a rival gang takes out a tagger. This is one time I”m glad the police weren’t around to stop the tagger.

Too many gang-bangers get away with this S**t. Unfortunately, my parents lived in mid-town LA for 50 years and it just got progressively worse with these knuckleheads ruining these great old neighborhoods. I disagree with you. You should feel sorry for the people who are prisoners in their own homes because these gang-bangers infest these communities. No matter how clean the good people try to keep their properties, these knuckleheads “mark” their territory like dogs with paint spray. These urban terrorists should have been taught by their parents to respect other peoples property and go to school and learn something useful for life.
