Man, 25, Shot In The Head During Family Picnic In A Perris Park

PERRIS (CBS) — A 25-year-old man was shot in the head while having a picnic in a Perris park with relatives, and deputies are looking for the shooter, according to the sheriff’s department.

The shooting took place about 5 p.m. Saturday at Copper Creek Park in the 200 block of Citrus Avenue in Perris, said sheriff’s Sgt. Kevin Smith.

“During the investigation, officers learned that a group was having a picnic at the park when gunshots were heard and a male victim was struck,” Smith said. “A man was shot in the head and taken to the hospital by relatives where he received medical condition and is in serious condition.”

Investigators asked anyone with information about the shooting to call Perris police at (951) 210-1000 or call anonymously at (800) 782-7463.

    Anyone notices during every weekend there must be a pile of “people” doing the picnic at the parks from Rosemead to as far as Perris? After that, the places are always filled with filthy bacon, toritos, lard, diapers, and of course, the pink lip sticks. Now, there came infectious blood stain too? But I hope it’s ok to them because close kin can immune each other.

    This type of brutal act should not be taken lightly and the cops should find and penalise the guilty.A man enjoying the day with his family and been killed in broad daylight,it’s too bad.
