Driver Leads Burbank Police On High-Speed Chase, Then Flees On Foot

BURBANK (CBS) — A man driving a black Mercedes-Benz led police on a high-speed chase early Sunday, with officers eventually arresting him during a search in Tarzana.

The chase began when Burbank police tried to stop the driver at East Olive Avenue and South Kenneth Road about 1 a.m., Sgt. Carlos Gomez said.

The chase led onto the westbound Ventura (101) Freeway, with the suspect exiting in Tarzana, then getting out in the 6400 block of Reseda Boulevard and running, he said.

Officers searched the area and apprehended the suspect soon after.

The suspect, whose name was unavailable, was expected to be booked on suspicion of felony evading.
