Kobe Bryant Defends Stern, NBA

EL SEGUNDO (CBS) -- The Los Angeles Lakers opened up their training camp on Friday in El Segundo, and missing from the practice court was Lamar Odom, who was part of the three team trade that was vetoed by the NBA on Thursday.

Odom showed up 90 minutes late and spoke to Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak and then left the training facility.

After practice, mobbed by reporters, Kobe Bryant was asked about Stern killing the trade,  "He can do whatever the hell he wants to do. He's the commissioner."

When asked about how his current teammates Pau Gasol and Odom," They'll get over it.  You don't win back-to-back by being soft emotionally. "
