Men’s central Jail is soooo terrible. There are blind spots everywhere where rapes and other abuses can take place under the radar. It is NOT FIT as a jail. Now, some criminals, we tend to not care about, but men’s central houses a ton of frail, sick young adults that are addicted to drugs. They are just not of the same calibur than the violent people that we hate. The rate of rape in California’s jails is beyond belief, and people can’t report it for fear of being killed. You probably won’t have any empathy for this until your 20 year old son does something stupid like buy cocaine. . . and he winds up being brutalized there. The place needs to be shut down.

shut down? and release these morons back into society? STFU.

  • Difference

I am not a fan of people being in jail, but there is a HUGE difference between offenses that send people to jail, and offenses that send people to prison. The really bad folk are in prison.

    • RJ

you might want to keep this in mind the BAD ones that go to PRISON make a stop at COUNTY JAIL first and stay there during the entire trial process so there is VERY LITTLE diffrence between those in county and those in prison. yes there are some in county for minor junk like traffic or petty theft but there is WAY more people there waiting for trials for bigger things like RAPE MURDER AND DRUG DEALING ARMED ROBERY and a host of other LARGER crimes

  • Martha

We are for getting ppl are innocent until proven guilty. the jail should protect inmates, of murder & rape. That is what are tax dollars pay for.

    • RJ

in theroy your right, but in reality your very wrong out of every 100 people arrested less then 1% are not guilty of what they got arrested for. and no where in this article does it say he was killed it says he was dead which could very easy mean he commited suicide.
