San Bernardino Prosecutors Asking Residents To Report Cockfighting Crimes

SAN BERNARDINO (CBS) — County prosecutors are targeting local cockfighting rings and are asking residents to report the crime.

A reward program is in place for tips leading to the arrest and conviction of suspects.

In 2009, San Bernardino officials prosecuted 43 cockfighting-related cases, resulting in the seizure of approximately 400 roosters.

The Humane Society is offering a reward of up to $5,000. For details, call 877-TIP-HSUS.
