LONG BEACH (CBS) — A 26-year-old woman was severely injured after falling off the side of the Queen Mary at the Port Of Long Beach Monday night.
A man also became hurt when he dove 15 feet into the water to try and save the woman.
The incident was reported to the Long Beach Fire Department at approximately 8:40 p.m.
The woman was found floating in the water, face up, and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
The man was treated for hypothermia and transported to a nearby hospital.
Police were trying to determine what caused the woman’s fall.
