HEMET (CBS) — A convicted sex offender was behind bars Thursday for allegedly exposing himself to a Hemet woman.
Niko Treavon Stone, 22, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of indecent exposure for the alleged encounter in the 26000 block of South Dartmouth Street, near Acacia Avenue.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the Nov. 21 “flashing” occurred when Stone allegedly stopped his vehicle, pretending to be lost. The victim told deputies that she was walking her dog and approached the suspect’s car to give him directions.
Stone allegedly exposed himself to the woman, then fled.
The woman noted the car’s license plate number and provided a description of the suspect to deputies. Based on that information, Stone was arrested and booked into the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta, where he’s being held in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Information on his prior conviction was not immediately available.
