LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Two men were killed Wednesday in an apparent gang-related shooting in Boyle Heights.

The shooting occurred shortly before 1 a.m. in the 2100 block of City View Avenue, two blocks west of Soto Street, said Los Angeles Police Department Officer Norma Eisenman.

Art Gomez, 31 of Los Angeles, died at the scene, according to the coroner’s office.

The other man, 36-year-old Jesus Rendon, died at a hospital, Assistant Coroner Chief Ed Winter said.

Eisenman said Rendon and Gomez were shot during a confrontation with four other men, believed to be gang members.

No arrests have been made.
