LAX Officials Brace For Busiest Travel Day Of The Year

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Officials at Los Angeles International Airport are bracing for what is expected to be the busiest day of the year.

Roughly 167,000 people are expected to pass through the airport Monday.

Peak crowd times in the airport's nine terminals will be between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m.

If you are scheduled to fly out Monday, you are advised to give yourself extra time to deal with the crowds.

Airport police plan to hand out new maps to drivers who linger in the white zones, which are reserved for immediate loading and unloading.
