Homeless Man Accused Of Performing Lewd Act While Watching Porn At Laguna Beach Library

LAGUNA BEACH (CBS) — A homeless man accused of performing a lewd act while watching pornography at a public library has been arrested, Laguna Beach Sgt. John Falk confirmed to CBS2.

The incident at Laguna Beach Library was reported to authorities about 2:47 p.m. Saturday.

Laguna Beach Sgt. Eric Lee told the Orange County Register that a library patron upon witnessing the suspect's conduct reportedly asked him to stop, but he declined and police were called.

Upon arrival, officers found the accused, identified as Joseph Clairence Cormier II, and several other transients allegedly looking at porn on the library's computers, according to the Register.

It was unclear how many other homeless men were with Cormier at the time.

Lee said Cormier, 46, was booked on misdemeanor lewd conduct but has since been released.
