Early Bird Shoppers Camp Out For Black Friday Deals

CHINO HILLS (CBS) — Early bird shoppers are already camping out for Black Friday sales.

The first tent at a Best Buy store in Chino Hills was set up Saturday, 144 hours before doors are set to open at midnight Friday. By Monday morning, a total of four tents lined the sidewalk.

Shoppers are hoping to cash in on some of the electronics chain's biggest deals, which include 42-inch LCD Sharp televisions for $199, $39 Blu-Ray players and $299 Toshiba laptops.

Even with such great deals, employees are surprised to see shoppers lining up nearly a week in advance.

"It's a little early, but it's kind of cool," store manager Jim Gradney told CBS2. "It actually felt like the holidays when I came in this morning."

Best Buy is one of several retailers to also offer discounts online starting Thanksgiving Day.
