Man Pleads Not Guilty In Murder Of 17-Year-Old Norma Lopez

RIVERSIDE (CBS) — The man accused of kidnapping and killing 17-year-old Norma Lopez pleaded not guilty in her murder Wednesday.

Jesse Perez Torres, 35, faces murder and kidnapping charges. If convicted, he could face the death penalty or life without parole.

Prosecutors say DNA links him to the field where the Moreno Valley teen was kidnapped while walking to a friend’s home after a summer school class in July 2010.

Torres lived within a block of Lopez’s school.

  1. ILLEGALS says:

DNA links him to the FIELD? Could it be Cigarette(s), Beer/Soda cans/bottles, pen/pencil, chewing gum, etc etc with his DNA nearby the crime scene?

It’s a much stronger case, let’s say if it was his DNA on her body or clothing article..

or if she fought with the person who killed her and drew blood and his blood was found in the field and or on her or on or near her personal effects that were found in the field
