Pasadena Police Crack Down On 'Aggressive' Drivers

PASADENA (CBS) — Pasadena police will conduct a special enforcement effort at high-collision intersections Tuesday throughout the city.

Between 6 a.m. and noon, officers will focus on ticketing motorists who run red lights or drive aggressively through intersections, according to  Lt. Randell Taylor of the Pasadena Police Department.

Authorities said the ultimate goal is to enforce and educate the driving public and at the same time reduce serious injuries and fatal collisions.

Funding for the program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, using federal funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
