LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Wal-Mart has opened two temporary ‘pop-up’ stores in Southern California to steer shoppers to Walmart.com.
The so-called mini stores feature an assortment of toys and electronics that customers can order directly from the retailer’s website.
According to a report in the Los Angeles Times, the goal of these stores is to give local customers easier access to products on Walmart.com.
The mini stores are open for business at the Westfield Topanga mall in Canoga Park and in downtown San Diego.
The two stores are scheduled to close at the end of December.
