Judy Garland's Ruby Slippers On Display In Beverly Hills
BEVERLY HILLS (CBS) — Judy Garland's famous ruby red slippers from "The Wizard of Oz" will be on display from Nov. 14-15 before they head to the auction block in New York City.
The shoes were not only worn by Garland onscreen, but are the pair featured when Dorothy clicks her heels together three times to return home to Kansas.
The slippers, marked "#7 Judy Garland", will be featured at the first anniversary party for jeweler Solange Azagury-Partridge.
Solange, which is located at 340 North Rodeo Drive, has partnered with the LA Opera, which will receive 10 percent of proceeds during the event.
