HEMET (KNX 1070) — A man suspected of attempting to sexual assault a 15-year-old girl as she walked home was still at large Saturday.
The incident happened about 7 p.m. Thursday near Dartmouth Street and Crest Drive, according to police.
The girl told deputies that she was on her way home after watching an athletic event at her high school when a man grabbed her from behind and tried to push her to the ground.
Deputies arrived moments later and scoured the area, but couldn’t locate the suspect, KNX 1070 Newsradio reported.
The girl described the suspect as dark-skinned male between 30 and 40 years old.
