LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A Sig Alert was issued shortly after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in response to a multi-vehicle collision on the southbound 110 Freeway at Manchester Avenue.

One victim was extricated from a vehicle by the LA County Fire Department.

Initially five vehicles were reportedly involved in the pileup. Later a sixth vehicle was found to be involved.

Two patients were transported in critical condition. The condition of four additional patients who were also transported was reportedly less severe.
