'TV's Good Girl vs. Bad Girl' Square Off In Santa Monica

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Television's Alison Arngrim and Mary McDonough visited the KCAL 9 studios Wednesday to talk about their upcoming event, TV's Good Girl vs. Bad Girl, in Santa Monica.

Mary McDonough (Erin Walton/The Waltons-- she came in to talk about the book before) and Alison Arngrim (Nasty Nellie Oleson/Little House on the Prairie) both turn 50 this year and are preparing for a series of appearances together in a TV Good girl vs. TV Bad girl look at life.

Mary and Alison's lives ran parallel as child stars and friends on two hit shows that ran eleven years each, but couldn't have been more different at home. As they grew up in front of the American public, behind the scenes issues encompassed everything from body image, self-identity and incest.

Vanity Fair listed Alison Arngrim's character as the #1 Bitch in TV history, followed by Joan Collins' Alexis Colby. Argnrim recently released the paperback version of her New York Times Best-selling memoir's titled, "Confessions of a Prairie Bitch: How I Survived Nellie Oleson and Learned to Love Being Hated."

Mary McDonough has just release the first Walton's Memoir entitled Lessons From The Mountain: What I Learned From Erin Walton in time for the 40th anniversary of the show that changed her life.

TV's Good Girl vs. Bad Girl will take place at the Santa Monica Library, 601 Santa Monica Blvd., on Nov. 16 from 7 to 9 p.m.
