Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor Rushed To Hospital For Internal Bleeding, Infection

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — For the second time in a month, 94-year-old Zsa Zsa Gabor was rushed to a hospital Wednesday due to internal bleeding and an infection.

"She's in the hospital at UCLA," said her husband, Frederic von Anhalt when reached by phone late this morning. "It's a little worse (than last month)."

Gabor's publicist, John Blanchette, said her personal physician came to her Bel Air home and determined that the feeding tube in her stomach had come loose again, resulting in an infection.

"He called for an ambulance to UCLA and she was taken back to the hospital, her home away from home these days," Blanchette said.

He said it was the third time the feeding tube had dislodged since being put in, resulting in infection.

The actress was released from Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center on Oct. 21, almost two weeks after undergoing surgery to reattach the tube. She had a high-fever and was touch-and-go during that hospital stay, he said.

She has been hospitalized repeatedly since breaking her left hip in July 2010 and had most of her right leg amputated in January due to an infection. In August, she received last rites, but battled back, as she did last month when her chances of surviving were put at "about 50-50," Blanchette said.
