LOS ANGELES (KNX 1070) — The family of San Francisco Giants fan Bryan Stow hope there can be movement in their lawsuit now that the Los Angeles Dodgers are up for sale.
KNX 1070 Newsradio reports that attorney Tom Girardi, who is representing the family, says he knew there was no chance of reaching a resolution with Frank McCourt.
“His attitude was not, ‘How can I correct the terrible wrong I’ve done,’ but rather to blame Mr. Stow,” Girardi said.
Girardi says he has approached Major League Baseball about drafting a “reasonable settlement” now that McCourt has agreed to sell the team.
The Stow family is currently McCourt’s largest unsecured creditor.
