Kim & Kris, Don't Feel Bad: Quickie Hollywood Weddings Are Quite Common

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Seventy-two days? We barely had enough time to send a gift. Kim Kardashian, the reality TV star, and her husband, basketball player Kris Humphries, didn't even make it to the seven year itch.

To be frank, they barely made it to the seven week itch!

$10 million spent on a wedding should have almost guaranteed the blushing bride and her tall betrothed would last...at least through the next sweeps period, no? E! just showed their wedding extravaganza in a two-part, four hour special...and the special was almost as long as the bliss.

This was one of those Hollywood weddings where the guests should have maybe thrown minute rice!

But Kim and Kris shouldn't feel too bad about their brief nuptials. Seventy-two days? -- for some of the following couples, that would seem like an eternity.

Here, a brief (what else?!) look at some of Hollywood's quickest walks down the aisle...that ended up a trip to see a divorce attorney.

Britney Spears might hold the record. She married a high school sweetie in Las Vegas on January 3, 2004.  And what happened in Vegas did stay there. She annulled her marriage to Jason Alexander after 55 hours. Yes, hours.

Eddie Murphy married Babyface's ex, Tracey Edmonds, on New Year's day 2008 in Bora Bora. How romantic. They weren't married long enough for her to give Eddie a nickname. Two weeks. Done.

Carmen Electra and Dennis Rodman lasted a full ten days. They married November 1998 and separated weeks later. She filed for divorce April 1999.

Oscar winner Ernest Borgnine married Broadway diva/legend Ethel Merman who became a superstar in "Gypsy." Everything was not coming up roses. They married in 1964 but she filed for divorce after 32 days. For years, neither would even talk about the marriage. In her book, the chapter on her marriage to Borgnine is a blank page.

Funnyman Chris Kattan of "Saturday Night Live" fame married model Sunshine Tutt on June 28, 2008. Ain't no sunshine when she's gone. They lasted just two months. They were legally separated by August.

"SNL" didn't prove lucky for Fred Armisen either. He married "Mad Men" star Elizabeth Moss in October 2009 and they were separated by the following June.

Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson wed July 2006 on a yacht in St. Tropez. They were split four months later. They both filed around Thanksgiving that year.

Drew Barrymore and comedian Tom Green had a whirlwind romance and got married in July 2007. He filed for divorce by December. As quick as that was, Drew had a quicker marriage. She wed Welsh bartender turned bar owner Jeremy Thomas March 20, 1994 and they only made it to to April 28.

Jennifer Lopez married  Chris Judd September 29, 2001. They met when she hired him to dance back up in one of her videos, "Love Don't Cost A Thing." And then she told him to back way up filing for divorce after 7 months.

The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, married the daughter of the King of Rock and Roll. Lisa Marie Presley and Jackson wed in May 1994, but only lasted one year and eight months. Presley told Oprah, for years after she split with Jackson she still tried to make their relationship work.

Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton married May 5, 2000. Although they wore vials containing drops of each other's blood around their necks, they barely made it to the two year mark.

May didn't hold much magic for Renee Zellweger and country crooner Kenny Chesney either. They wed on a St. John beach after only knowing each other two months. (They met working the phones at a telethon.) They married in May 2005 and by September, they were officially splitsville...she had the marriage annulled.
