JR Martinez Named 2012 Tournament Of Roses Grand Marshal

PASADENA (CBS) — Actor and Iraq war veteran JR Martinez has been chosen as the 2012 Tournament of Roses Grand Marshal.

While serving in Iraq, Martinez was injured and severely burned when the Humvee he was driving hit a landmine. He has since turned that life-changing event into an acting career and he's proven to be a great dancer on "Dancing with the Stars."

The 2012 Rose Parade will take place on Jan. 2. Its theme is "Just Imagine."
