LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Police Sunday said a man in his 70s was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver in South Los Angeles.

The accident at 113th and Figueroa occurred about 4:45 a.m., according to officials.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to Los Angeles police, the suspects — identified as a male and female — remain at large. They reportedly abandoned their vehicle at the scene and fled.

No other information was immediately available.
