USS Iowa Making Slow Journey To SoCal
SAN PEDRO (CBS) — The USS Iowa -- a World War II era battleship -- is about to become a floating museum in San Pedro.
But first, she has to get here from San Francisco Bay where the Iowa has been in mothballs for decades.
This week marked the first leg of that journey. Tugs moved the Iowa from Suisun Bay's Ghost Fleet to Richmond where it will undergo months of work before heading south to its new home in San Pedro.
