LOS ANGELES (CBS) — “Occupy LA” demonstrators are concerned they may be forced to move after police were called to the tent city near City Hall at 3 a.m. Thursday morning.

A man told authorities a protester was armed with a rifle, but police only recovered a knife.

One person was taken into custody, but his name has not been released.

Mayor Villaraigosa issued a statement Wednesday saying he’s concerned about public safety and what the demonstration is costing the city.

“The lawn is dead, our sprinklers aren’t working, our trees are without water. The protesters must respect city laws and regulations, and while they have been allowed to camp on City Hall lawns, that cannot continue indefinitely,” he said.

Protesters say they’re peacefully exercising their rights to assembly and free speech in what they say is a protest against Wall Street greed.

Mayor Villaraigosa let’s talk about your association with Eli Broad before we worry about lawns. How he made you mayor. How you are in his pocket

The occupy protester have collected over $400,000 in donations so far.

Yet the homeless are shunned from eating there.

“The lawn is dead, our sprinklers aren’t working, our trees are without water” – Mayor Villaraigosa.

“…our trees are without water” – if the campers at City Hall fail to refute this accusation then they have been outflanked by the Mayor. The police must end the demonstration in order to save the trees.

“The lawn is dead, our sprinklers aren’t working…..” — this is a coded message from the Mayor to police commanders. He wants the demonstrators removed. The police may use whatever tactics they want. The mayor will look the other way.

“One person was taken into custody, but his name has not been released…”

If the man was arrested and the police won’t give the media his identity then he is probably their mole.

If this guy shows up at the City Hall camp site and is let back into the group.
then you will be listening to lies and allowing free reign to the agent provacateur.

Uh-oh. I see the squad cars rolling and hear the birds in the air. Its 4:30am Saturday. I think they are ready to serve the eviction notice..

Word of Caution to L.A. City Hall South Lawn occupants:

When the L.A.P.D. makes the announcement declaring unlawful assembly and gives the order to disperse, you should keep in mind –

    1. times speeds up. 15 minutes becomes 7 or 8 minutes.

    2. Those aren’t candy canes, they are batons.

    3. don’t worry about getting arrested. The L.A.P.D. aren’t big on arresting demonstrators and the jail already turned on the No Vacancy sign.

    4. The L.A.P.D. will ring your bell. “Operatuion Trick or Treat” is guaranteed to leave you with more than just a tummy-ache.

If these morons actually had an education they just should have joined the T.E.A. Party to get this country back on track.
