Veteran LAPD Sergeant Arrested On Suspicion Of Burglary

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A Los Angeles police sergeant arrested on suspicion of breaking into a woman’s home was placed on paid leave Tuesday, pending an investigation.

Lucien Daigle, 44, was arrested Sunday night near the victim’s home, according to sheriff’s Sgt. Paul Morrison.

The woman, who was not identified, told deputies she came home from walking her dogs and found her back door open and a man inside.

Authorities said she sprayed Daigle with pepper spray, and he ran off about 6:20 p.m. He reportedly crashed his car at Greenspot Road and Santa Ana Truck Road.

Police said he was arrested after the accident, and the car was filled with pepper spray.

Daigle has worked for the Los Angeles Police Department for 18 years and is assigned to the Olympic Station.

His bail is set at $125,000, according to Morrison.

Corrupt DEA where stealing drugs from evidence vaults and reselling them to cover extensive credit card debt.
They also are creating suspects by planting evidence just so that they can steal from them.
Given the choice of suspension or dealing with their debt most DEA are thinking outside the box.

The burglary victim is scared to death now. She says she fears for her safety after discovering that the burglar was an off duty LAPD and that either he or his coworkers might try to harm her.

Dirty cop ? Say it ain’t so,

    • Just Ask

Fullerton, California: two cops beat an UN-armed man to death.

Contra Costa County, CA: Several “elite” narcotic cops arrested for sale of illegal drugs, running a house of prostitution, and plotting to sell illegal military weapons to gangs. Those arrested included the commander of the squad.

Sonoma County, CA: Cop convicted of robbing multiple banks while off duty.

San Diego, CA: Cop charged with forced rape while in uniform and on duty.

Sacramento, CA: Cop convicted of murder (CHP).

Van Nuys, CA: LAPD cop arrested for cold case murder in love triangle.

New York: A dozen cops just arrested for mafia style felony crimes.

New Orleans, LA: Multiple cops convicted of murder during Katrina shootings.

And we all hear that usual police union lie that the huge pay and huge pensions that cops get are what attract the beet quality person to the cop job. Right.

More and more dirt is being uncovered in California law enforcement every week.

    • Just Ask

EVERY DAY. !! Watch the news across the USA and it will open your eyes ! Cops are getting caught every single day in felony crimes including murder, rape, robbery, and now burglary.

      What to do ?

NEVER convict any person while on jury duty. The cops can’t be trusted. How many people in prison and in jail due to some cop lie ???

  • Igor Doublebubblevich.

Cops are commiting crimes daily everywhere, they the cops donnot want law abiding citizens to obtain CCW”S>

  • Jeff

The lady that sprayed the LAPD officer should be in jail for attempted murder on
a police officer. There is no excuse for her actions. He is an officer of the law. RESPECT THE BADGE OR DIE.

    • tom

      ur a idiot

  • Marty

I wish she had a gun instead of pepper spray.

    • luvenlust

      me too
he deserved a bullet right in the crack of his azz

    • Robert

      No, Marty.

If she had shot and killed the burglar cop, the news would have faded away in just a few days.

This way, the news coverage will continue and innocent people across the country will hear about it.

I even believed that cops were honest until the last two years. Wow. Was I a fool !! The badge does NOT mean honesty. In some cases, cops are criminally dangerous by planting evidence and or shooting you to eliminate you as a witness to something they are doing.

  • bugman

    I would like to know,why,everything is quiet now about the Compton cop that shot and killed an innocent person? they said he acted like a caged animal,how many cops were there? now I know how that kid from Fullerton felt and lost his life!!!! and the page was not open for comments {odd}

    • dj

it was not compton bugman it was DOWNEY if you are going to comment at least mention the right city

  • DH

Why the paid leave? These cops really know how to look after their own.

    • tj

can not put someone on un paid leave until they have had their day in court remember INNOCENT TILL PROVEN GUILTY it applies to EVERYONE

  • Gary M

This is a result of budget cuts. LAPD has cut way back on overtime pay and now the officers have to go out and get second jobs. Apparently this second job was not legal. Sorry about that, Chief!!!!!

    • Jack

Gary M. must be either stupid or a cop.

Budget cuts ! Ahhhhh ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

  • tom

law enforment are the real crooks this just proves it….

so now you know what they have been doing. now you must find the good cops & give them the support they need. it is not easy but as you see they have been busting these bad cops when just a few months ago it was almost unheard of. i really feel that there is more bad then good cops & the good cops are having a hard time. i have known good cops who have quit because they would not do what the others wanted to do . find the good cops & give them the power to make a change.
