LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Officials said a tagger fired multiple shots at police officers near Beverly Boulevard and Vermont Avenue in Koreatown Thursday evening.

Plain clothes officers, working in the narcotics division, said they observed two men tagging a building near Heliotrope Drive and Oakwood Avenue just before 7:30 p.m.

According to LAPD Officer Karen Rayner, one of the suspects fired on the officers. Both suspects then fled.

Neither officer was injured.

SWAT teams have responded to the crime scene and officials believe the two taggers have barricaded themselves inside a nearby residential building.
